Sony have released today their latest system software update for the PS5.
This update includes a plethora of new features, some of which are: 3D audio support, storage expansion, and a bunch of UI changes.
The high-speed storage will allow players to expand their storage using an M.2 SSD, a PS5 compatible solid state storage drive. This storage can be used to download, copy and launch both PS5 and PS4 games, as well as other media apps.
3D audio support will allow those with built in TV speakers to experience 3D audio using nothing more than the speakers they already have available to them. This feature transforms standard two-channel speakers into three-dimensional sound.
Various UI changes will allow players to view, personalise, and manage both game content & their console experience.
Players will now be able to customise their control centre. They will now be able to freely move or rearrange the controls, and decide which ones are on display, and which ones are hidden.
The PS5 September software update is available to download globally now.
