Welcome to a mini series for the game Phantasy Star Online 2 for Xbox/PC featuring newly introduced game mode: BATTLE MODE! The video itself is a raw cut with no commentary, but I'll provide a mini review of the maps, weapons, and overall tips. If I'm not lazy, maybe I'll even find the time to link some actual time stamps! Don't count on it though. See Part 1 for overview of the WEAPONS: https://youtu.be/5hYUtTXz2ig

Specifically, this video series goes over the path to becoming LEGEND. It starts off already at rank S1. So basically, I'm already 93%-ish done. You need 2000 points to become LEGEND.

WEAPONS:
- See part 1, but I forgot JET BOOTS and PARTISAN. Forest weapons. Partisan is a OHKO machine. But I HATE it's angles. I can never line things up right...I routinely miss. In a pinch, I will try this, because when you're down, this can turn the tables. Boots are made for double jumping and getting emblems! Make SURE to use the weapon variant for the upward slash! Otherwise it won't kill at full HP. I...avoid the other PA for actual combat. And routinely forget it's even a thing...and kill myself using it...

MAPS
- Forest: Many ways to win this, but the most effective is to have 2/3 holding the line, and 2-3 flanking. And then put PRESSURE on the team to HOLD the MID. Swords, Partisans are essential. You have got to have at least 1 or 2 players who can melee to stop long range attacks.
- Volcano: This one...is really noob unfriendly. You CAN go to the sides, but it's OH SO HARD to get back off the ground. Only Soaring Blades and Talis can get back on the field fast (especially if no bridge on map!). I will agree. Just go Mid and Win. USE THE BOXES TO JUMP ON HIGHER GROUND!!!! I do this a lot in these videos. Get good at this if playing support!
- Tokyo: This map is freaking nuts. So much death. All the time. Best advice. Get 1 emblem runner, one person blocking the stairs in the back, one in the middle, and 2-3 running in enemy territory. SWORD IS KEY HERE.

STRATEGIES
- Want to play a drinking game? "Go mid and win". Drink. This is a super simple way of describing new players how to "win". It's a start. But to truly dominate a match, it's NOT that simple. People NEED to flank, steal emblems, cause chaos. But in general, yes, most of your time should be SUPPORTING or COLLECTING folks in the MIDDLE. Rainbow emblem are 10 points, your emblems are 1 point (but if you get them, you prevent your opponent from doing so!), enemies are 3.
- Brute: Dominate by killing everyone. I mean if you can, go for it!
- Support: I'm not a brute. I turtle and run. I'm like a bunny turtle. I like either holding an area with talis, running to the backline with Jet Boots.
- Emblem collecting: If you're really bad at the game? Just stay back and collect emblems. Can't hurt your team if you're not dead! Stick to your team.
- General advice: Don't be a hero. Don't overextend. Rely on your teammates. Probe. Hit and run. And then RUSH when things are clear you have and advantage. Basic combat strats.
- General advice: Talis and Rod have GREAT dodges. Hopefully you're around a melee and you can dodge from danger and have them deal with close range threats. Or if you're playing melee, protect your casters!

ITEMS
-#1: Cure. I mean. Don't overthink this. 4 heals is enormously powerful if you can stay alive. Just throwing bodies at something is huge. Stay. Alive. I will use this almost always if it's available.
#2: Sprint. If you're playing with a team you know, and say there's a good brute on your team? Consider using this to quickly get to the back line and cause chaos. This is a powerful item! You can use it to snipe emblems, RUN AWAY! All kinds of shenanigans.
#3: Protect: High risk, high reward. Only 1 use, but I have TURNED TABLES with this thing. 4 on 1 and I've lived! You act as bait. Be careful when you see a DOME around someone!
#4: PP MANIA: 2 uses. It's good! But...it's just too risky for me.
#5: Stun: Look, OK. It's...fine. It's just not my thing.

How I Play:
- Long range support / emblem collector. I routinely get "most emblems". I'm the guy running to the middle getting the emblems and STAYING ALIVE. If you play emblem collector guy you CAN'T DIE. So the best way to NOT DIE is use LONG RANGE weapons. I like, in this order: TALIS, SOARING BLADES (PA ONLY), RIFLE (Steady Shot I love you so much!), Mechgun. Bow if I have to. But I will really try not to. Partisan and Sword if I have to. Unless I get SURF BOARD and...SURF'S UP!
- I will occasionally get most KOs. Sometimes get most damage. Talis is really good at racking up damage but not killing. I will get most emblems A LOT! That's what I do...because umm...that's the point of the game mode!!

Finally, I love the battle music. I wake up and it's in my head. Maybe I should stop playing until 3 am?

Thoughts? I AM LEGEND! Ask me anything.

TLDR: Learn to use TALIS and SWORD.
