Welcome to another episode of my new show KnowWhenToQuit! In this episode we will be taking on another boss in Bloodborne, the Pthumerian Descendant in the Great Ihyll Chalice.
Pthumerian Descendant is the 1st boss in the Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice and is a fast paced encounter that can prove to be very difficult. The Great Ihyll Chalice is the last required chalice dungeon to complete Bloodborne's platinum trophy and houses some of the most difficult enemies within the whole of Bloodborne, In this episode we attempt to defeat Bloodbornes Pthumerian Descendant in the Great Ihyll Chalice before I throw my playstation 4 through a window.
Pthumerian Descendant should be a real barnburner.

Pthumerian Descendant and the Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice:
The Great Ihyll Chalice is one of the optional Chalice dungeons of Bloodborne. Though they are not compulsory for completing the game, chalice dungeons such as the Great Ihyll Chalice hold many challenges of varying difficulty, such as Pthumerian Descendant, some of which are considered more difficult than the main game mode of Bloodborne. Pthumerian Descendant of the Great Ihyll Chalice is the first boss of the Great Ihyll Chalice dungeon to rival the difficulty of that of Bloodborne's main game. Anecdotal evidence suggests that Pthumerian Descendant can take players several hours to defeat.

The Pthumerian Descendant is a boss that can be found in earlier levels of the Pthumeru Chalices and Pthumeru Root Chalices, however, Great Ihyll Chalice Pthumerian Descendant is worse than the earlier variants of Pthumerian Descendant. The Pthumerian Descendant boss fight has two phases. They differ only by the Pthumerian Descendant splitting his shotel in twine and fighting you with two blades. This second phase occurs at half health and is generally harder than the first phase as the Pthumerian Descendant hits faster and learns a few damaging moves.

Bloodborne is an action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware, published by Sony Computer Entertainment and was released worldwide for the PlayStation 4 in March 2015.
Bloodborne follows the player character, the Hunter, through the decrepit Gothic, Victorian era inspired city of Yharnam, whose inhabitants have been afflicted with an abnormal bloodborne disease.
The game is played from a third-person perspective and gameplay is focused on weapons-based combat and exploration.
