Yes, the new armor viewer for World of Warships has hit the public test server and boy is it fun to play around with! Of course one cannot simply go into armor viewer and ignore the normal high tier USN BB hate so lets dive into the Iowa vs Montana transition and one of the reasons why the Montana feels unnecessarily fragile compared to the preceding ship: Armor thickness values.

I guess WG thinks that 9mm of deck armor and 2mm of citadel roof armor is worth leaving out when going UP in armor scheme... uhh wait what? The Montana is supposed to be the upgrade to the Iowa that gave the ship a large immunity zone against the Mark 8 SH-APC shell shot out of her guns... of course, it was intended to do that in real life, but as you can see, she gets no such love in WoWs... in other words, citadels at range are much more likely in the Montana than the Iowa.... seems odd to me!
