The AI difficulty in Puyo is dependent on the character they are playing as. However, there is an in-game cheat code that sets them to max difficulty immediately.

First, I demonstrate Draco's normal AI which is not hard at all to deal with, for one match. I activate the cheat for the second set, and proceed to get my ass kicked swiftly.

Maximum difficulty CPU players for VS mode: Hold L, then press Y before selecting a CPU player.
