Caulipower strategies don't seem to score a ton more (million or more) than those without this week. All Plant Food are used to refresh Caulipower. Again, the 8 starting tombstones, including the 3 in column 1, never change for me, in actual or Practice. Cherry Bomb's main purpose is to destroy them. Averages over 3 million, but scores can vary a lot based on more typical RNG factors, but also especially this week on the number of Yeti spawns; the more that appear, the lower the score. I've never been able to beat him: I've only done enough damage to make him retreat and hypnotizing doesn't work as Caulipower completely ignores him.
I bring the Magnet-shroom to weaken zombies to help with points. Hypnotizing a Peasant Zombie, wearing headgear or no, awards the same flat amount of points (this makes no sense, tougher enemies should award higher points, perhaps this system was designed to nerf his being OP?), and removing the headgear scores additional points. Also, without headgear, hypnotized zombies are weaker and easier to defeat by enemy zombies, which hopefully clears the board faster and spawns more; that is the hope anyway.
