Pygame Tutorial 25 - Game Over and Reset Game
9pygame tutorial. In this previous video, we went over how to draw text and keep a running score for the player. In this video, we will go over how to handle game over. The game is over when the player's health bar becomes 0 due to damage taken by enemies or colliding when hazards. In this game, megaman can take damage from metalls and bladers by touching them, and by bullets fired by metalls. If megaman touches a spike, his health bar immediately drops to 0. Aside from health, megaman can also fall through holes between platforms, which will trigger game over. When the game is over, the player will be able to press the enter key to reset the game and play again.
