PyTurn at Don't Starve #01: Wrong Resolution Initial Impressions and Sucker Punch Shenanigans
4Don't Starve is an open world survival video game that was released recently on Steam. Think Minecraft or Terraria, but with more emphasis on surviving than crafting. It's a pretty addictive little game. Also, Fraps failed to capture it so I used FFsplit, which actually didn't capture my full resolution. So the game's UI is actually missing. I hope to have that fixed by next video!
STUFF YOU SHOULD DO THAT PYREN DIDN'T:
*Explore like hell and find gold and Beefalo at your earliest convenience.
*Establish a base near food sources that don't permanently deplete, such as rabbits and berry bushes.
*Make torches on Nights 1 and 2 and run around exploring rather than setting up camp.
*Not waste the goddamn carrots on rabbits traps, just place the traps over the holes and come back later. Need to place several traps to get a decent feed, as well.
*Make a log suit and equip it before any instances of combat.
*Avoid the swamp (and Tallbirds... and Giant Tree Monsters...) until you're geared to the teeth!
