Quake 2 Engine Comparison--Q2E and Q2XP (HD)
135This is just a video filmed and completed over the course of one day that I decided to do comparing the Quake II Engines Quake 2 Evolved v3(Q2E) and Quake 2 XP (Q2XP)
They're both wonderful engines really, but they both have falling points. In my opinion most of the gun and enemy textures, HUD, and animations in Q2XP look better, but Q2E has much better wall/object textures and effects, as well as a better control layout, And also doesn't require a CD to play music. However, the resolution doesn't seem to particularly enjoy changing, hence this video is in 1280x768 resolution rather than the typical 1024x768 deal.
