Playthough de la versión inglesa de Quake 4, sin comentarios de voz. Quake 4 es el "patito feo" de la saga, y la continuación de Quake 2. Tiene lugar justo al término de Quake 2, cuando el Makron muere y los marines terrestres se disponen a atacar el planeta de los Strogg. 10 años hace ya de este juego, tenía ganas de volverle a dar una vuelta.
El juego nos 'castiga' con 5 misiones de introducción muy poco interesantes que luego, con el giro de guión, ya se convierte en algo más parecido a un Quake. Como todos los juegos de Raven Software, Quake 4 es un shooter correcto, entretenido, pero que siempre le falta ese 'algo' que lo convierta en un juego memorable. Ha sido un coñazo ponerlo a andar, puesto que el juego pensaba que tenía -3072mb de memoria de vídeo, fue necesario editar ficheros de configuración, hurgar en la consola, e instalar Sikkmod lite para ponerlo al día. Le lleva horrores cargar las misiones independientemente del hardware usado.

Quake 4 english version playthrough, no voiceover commentary. Quake 4 is the "ugly" brother of the saga, and the follow up to Quake 2. It takes place just at the very end of Quake 2, where the Makron dies and the earth marines assault the Strogg planet. 10 years since this was released, about time I gave it another spin.
The game punishes us with 5 very uninteresting intro missions, which after that, with the plot twist, it becomes something more akin to a Quake game. As every Raven Software game, Quake 4 is a correct shooter, entertaining, but always lacking that 'something' that turns it into a great game. It has been a nuisance getting it to work, as the game thought I had -3072vram and it loaded completely washed textures... it took editing config files, console, and installing sikkmod lite to get it up to date. It also takes a while to load the missions, no matter what hardware you use.
