QUAKE ENGINE v.0.04 / 2022 on real ZX SPECTRUM 128K 3,5 MHz with RGB to CRT TV and RF to CRT TV
We challenge a standard 3,5 MHz 1985 ZX Spectrum 128k model 6K to run the new 2022 Z80 Quake engine. An engine that is recommended to run at 7 or 14 MHz, but we check out how well it runs on an old 3,5 MHz machine from 1985. This is a fully playable Quake engine with moving enemies, and you play with W, A, S, D and cursor keys. The 14 Mhz version is bigger and has a second floor, so if you have the possibility for playing this, it is worth checking out.
The engine was loaded from a DivMMC device and for your pleasure we have captured both RGB and RF antenna output:
RGB to CRT TV 00:00
RF antenna to CRT TV 06:02
