🇧🇾 Квант (Quantum): Part 6 (Second Machine) [TCE #0488]
A second example of the Квант, this time from 1994. There are slight differences between them but, this time, we do get some video out ... but the usual, garbled "I'm not feeling okay" Speccy output.
So some troubleshooting to be done on this one as well, but hopefully the video output issue on the 1st one can be solved.
The keyboard, although it seems impossible, appears to be worse than the original, 1992 machine I have. It also has a joystick with the same base as the original, but this time with a hand-contoured grip and two fire buttons.
I thought it was interesting because it came with a bunch of tapes & manuals of software - mostly copies of Western software I assume, but I'll have a proper look through them.
I also got a compilation tape of the Soviet band Кино (Kino). Here's an example of one of their songs ("Группа Крови" or "Blood Type") - this one is good as they include the English lyrics:

From Part 1:
Let's have a look at this Belarusian Sinclair ZX Spectrum clone called the КВАНТ (KVANT) or Quant(um) in English.
It's labelled "КВАНТ МИКРО ЗВМ" where ЗВМ is an abbreviation for "Электронная Вычислительная Машина" ... Electronic Calculating Machine ... so it's a "Quantum Micro Computer".
