🇧🇬 Правец 8Д (Pravetz 8D): Part 3 (Loading Oric Atmos Games) [TCE #0492]
I haven't had this machine out for a while - it was in great condition and simply worked when I got it, so no troubleshooting required. I thought it might be worth checking how compatible it is with the Oric Atmos ... apart from lower case Latin characters being shown as Cyrillic, it seems very compatible.
I have already tried out the Oric version of PETSCII Robots in Part 2 (TCE #0248):
https://youtu.be/vQt_sh4Keuo
It's made from a mixture of parts, both COMECON and Western:
[1] It has a Bulgarian clone of the 6502 CPU called the CM630P
[2] And a genuine 6522 VIA
[3] Bulgarian DRAM ... CM8164P ... 64k x 1bit
[4] A genuine Oric Atmos ULA in the HCS 10017
It also has some Soviet parts (К555ТМ2, aka 74LS74 flip flop) and other Western 74 logic.
The Oric Atmos tape software that I tried:
(obtained from https://www.oric.org/)
11:40 ... The Oric Atmos Welcome Tape (1984)
18:30 ... Tetriskov (2020)
22:40 ... Skool Daze (2012)
32:05 ... Ghost Gobbler (1984)
36:25 ... Pulsoids (2002) ... didn't seem to work
