Quentin Tarantino and the Case of Lickalotafooticus Disorder

When you're a big-time Hollywood director suffering from Lickalotafooticus Disorder—a highly specific condition marked by an insatiable admiration for feet—you have the power to craft scenes that cater to your, let’s say, unique interests. And no one embodies this quite like Quentin Tarantino.

Tarantino’s well-documented love for feet has become almost as legendary as his filmmaking itself. From Uma Thurman’s barefoot moments in Kill Bill to Margot Robbie’s unpolished soles in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the man is as consistent with his foot shots as he is with his witty dialogue. But perhaps his most infamous foot-fueled moment comes from From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), where he—yes, himself—gets to drink tequila straight from Salma Hayek’s toes.

Now, can you really blame the guy? Have you seen how Salma Hayek looks in that film? Her hypnotic dance with that massive python draped over her shoulders is already mesmerizing, but add in the fact that Tarantino worked himself into the script as the guy who gets an up-close and personal moment with her feet? Genius. Shameless, but genius.

It begs the question: if given the opportunity, would you give Salma Hayek’s toes the gawk gawk ten thousand treatment too? If the answer is yes, go ahead and drop a 👅 đŸŠ¶ emoji in the comments. Tarantino would approve.
