Quest 2 Gameplay: DCS AH-64 Apache in VR | Full Mission Playthrough in Virtual Reality
41It's a rampage on the Nevada Firing Range. Here is a full mission of gamplay from inside an Oculus Quest 2 Virtual Reality Headset of DCS AH-64D Apache module on the Nevada Map. We takeoff from the airbase, watch some cinematic shots of the Apache Helicopter, hit the range, cause a rampage firing the canon, rockets, and hellfires with George AI's help, return to base, do some low level flying over the airport, and land. A full mission playthrough of of the AH64D Apache's Instant Action mission from the DCS Nevada Terrain. All footage was recorded in VR inside an Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset.

SYSTEM SETTINGS: and for reference I am using an i7 10700 with 32gb of memory, a Radeon 6700XT, and multiple high end SSD drives with DCS 2.7 Open Beta with the system fairly well optimized to run various games. This DCS AH-64 Apache Virtual Reality video was made from inside an Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset. The Quest 2 was run with a link cable, airlink works just as well, and the Oculus Render Resolution was at 1.2 set at 80hz refresh rate for VR. Seems to be the best settings for this particular PC, your may differ. I was also using Oculus Tray Tool to turn off ASW for better video capture, it may improve performance to actually use ASW, but it adds artifacts during capture at times. If you have questions about optimizing DCS for VR feel free to comment with them and I will try to offer what I have learned about DCS World and Virtual Reality settings.
