Unboxing
It comes with:
- Headset
- Controllers
- Dock
- Power adapter and 2 charging cables.
- Light Blockers.
Feeling on Head
When putting it on your head, it feels like it's floating! I used a Quest 2 with a halo strap, but this implementation also works. I will say that taking the headset on and off is a pain. On my Quest 2 halo strap, you could bend this joint so it would come on and off earlier and be in the same position. On the Quest Pro, you have to loosen it and put it on each time. It's a bit annoying, to be honest. That said, it feels like it's floating on your head. I'll get a better idea of comfort after long play sessions, but right now it feels light and comfortable.

Resolution
The resolution is higher than the Quest 2, but it seems the exact same. I am extremely disappointed with the resolution. It feels like the one thing holding this headset back! As soon as I put it on, it did look clearer, and the FOV is noticeably higher. It's still not an enjoyable experience reading text.

Headset
Feels super high-quality materials. The black looks incredible! It seems strange having these exposed cables and layers of materials. It does make me wonder about the durability! The distance adjuster is quite flimsy.

Lenses
The new pancake lenses are incredible. The sweet spot is amazing. It's a lot clearer than my Quest 2. On the Quest 2, it felt like your eyes had to be in the exact center for it to be clear and not give you a headache. The Quest Pro also had no god rays or artifacts. The lenses are a big step up! They even look cooler!

IPD Adjustment
In the settings, it will show you your exact IPD you need, and it's super easy to adjust by moving the lenses. I was using 63 on my Quest 2 for over 1000 hours, and when it told me my IPD was 61 and I moved it, the vision just clicked. It felt a lot less straining on my eyes!

Light Blockers
It came with these side light blockers that snap on incredibly. The magnets are a great touch. That said, I don't even use the light blockers on my Quest 2, and I won't use these. I prefer to have that vision of the real world. It's great pulling out your phone and seeing it through the gap!

Face and Mouth Tracking
It was a bit of a hassle finding an app that worked with face and mouth tracking at the moment! Horizons Worlds isn't available in my region yet. I'll need to wait before I can properly test these out.

Audio
The speakers sound light-years better than the Quest 2. The spatial audio really makes it feel like the audio is just playing rather than coming from speakers.

Software
The software is identical to Quest 2. Being Australian, I feel like a second-class user. Half the updates don't come here. For example, I still can't download Horizon Worlds. $2500, and I can't even use the eye and mouth tracking yet. I will say it felt a lot smoother and less laggy than the Quest 2. It was also silent and stayed cool when playing BoneLab. My Quest 2 fans would start up and start getting a bit hot!
There is also a slider on the top to adjust the space the screen is from your eyes! The setup kept telling me to move it more to the left, but the dial wouldn't move anymore…
