Following on from the video where I originally presented the confirmation of an idea to improve upon and optimise previous tasks' winning runs (https://youtu.be/vYjaRaWUVOo), we started work on Task 1 specifically, with the aim to work on them chronologically. This is the first official video in this series (after a minor false start), where I present a brand new TAS that aims to complete the task as optimally as possible without the collaboration and time restrictions that normal tasks usually have during the competition itself.

A lot of time (multiple months) was spent testing to see if the TAS double trick method of performing the turnskip was possible, however we concluded that it wasn't viable with Spear (although feel very unsatisfied not being able to get it to work regardless). Other than that, this route combines most of the strats used by Jellopuff and Estaloy into one run, including some extra stuff. The sideways hop strat at the U turn is brand new, and thought of by me. It saves enough time to offscreen the old strat used by Jellopuff of just drifting around with a wider triple trick exit.

The rest of the videos in this series will not take as long to be released as this one did as we will likely not have to spend months pondering the double trick QM, however nothing is certain, and we may encounter such a roadblock again. If that kind of thing happens, I'll be sure to keep you all updated in the community tab :)
