Quick Look | Jak and Daxter 4 - The Lost Frontier (2009) PlayStation 2 HD
2Someone mentioned this and asked to show how this looks ... my answer was "Jak and Daxter was the worst ps2 game series, i have played in my life" (was speaking about part 2 and 3 ) "Then you haven't seen how shitty part 4 is" was the answer i got ... :|
So after playing the worst "thing" , that I now possess in my collection ... the PS3 HD Trilogy of J&D ... as advanced as they where, for the PS2 ... creating a engine that could push the ps2 to its extremes , giving consoles a engine that could seamless stream a big open map into a small console ram without a loading sign ... but , an engine a game does not make... same can be said about Crysis : looks good .. plays shitty
Introducing a PSP port , that wanted to be part 4 (some said part 4, was that driving game Jack X ... some , Daxter on the PSP, that was a prequel to Jack 2) ... and oh boy how shitty it is :
* awful Field of View, that is so small (40 or 45) that you can see its a shitty PSP port
* Camera that can get stuck on physical objects , not to mention it moves so slow ...you just fuck you because of it
* Input lag of the whole control scheme (even on original hardware PS2)
* Double jump is awful , you hit a invisible wall after the second jump to slow you down , that suddenly vanishes when you press cycle button to do a spin
* No manual lock on enemies , forcing you to trust a broken auto-aim system (broken combat)
*QTE... for the most basic things ... just to hide map loading
In other words.. the more you play it , the more you feel its a knock off "Ratchet and Clank" ... but done so horrid you just shake your head ... break the disc , and play something else
next...
