Got the deathless run out of the way. I'll probably keep playing for a bit and focus on scoring. That means using R13 in more stages and not going for boss timeout on stage 6.
Using R-9B Sleipnir on stage 5 scores 100k less points than a proper run with R-13A2 Hades. R-9S on stage 4 is hardly optimal either.

I was pretty cold on this game at first, but having access to the highest difficulty mode and a decent amount of ships makes it get a lot more interesting. The scoring system is good too. Basically Dose = Score. You're encouraged to do risky maneuvers to damage enemies directly by ramming them with you force pod. This involves shooting less, keeping enemies alive longer and typical point blanking movement. When using R-13 the chain tied to the force also increases dose, which can lead into some really fancy setups. Controlling the Force well with any ship also gets technical.

All in all it's a decent game if a bit unfinished. If you have access to it make sure to give the higher difficulties a shot, theres way more going on in most stages. So far the remake stages from old games (DLC) are great too. Final 2 might end up really good in a couple years as Granzella gets around to adding more stages, leaderboards, ships, etc. imo it's mostly down to having stages with good level design, and you can kind of see how that ends up in the remake stages.
