R9 290 Crossfire Scaling is 2 better than 1?
So i recently added a second AMD Radeon R9 290 to my system, so i now am able to take
advantage of AMD's Crossfire multi GPU technology. In a perfect world it should in fact double my Gaming performance, but that is not always the case. Scaling depends on the game engine, the drivers used by the hardware and also some other components in your
system, mainly the CPU. If you processor is to slow you will loose performance and your
second card won't add as much power as it could. I am using an intel i5 3570K overclocked to
4.7Ghz. Hopefully this CPU will have enough in the tank to handle these two bad girls. Let me know what you think in the comment section below, and i hope you enjoy the video.
PLEASE NOTE BENCHMARK RESULTS IN THIS VIDEO ARE ALL WITH A PERFORMANCE HIT DUE TO RECORDING. Results would be higher under normal circumstances.
