While everyone is waiting for the final version of KSP 0.16 here's something else to play around with. We're used to athletes putting their names on games, but I think Buzz Aldrin has been the only astronaut to put his name on a game. Way back in 1993 "Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space" was released, it was an managment simulator which let you plan the space program, competing against a foreign program for the prestige associated with landing on the moon.

The developers Fritz Bronner & Michael McCarty have since released the game for free and given people permission to freely use it (as long as they don't sell the game!). Furthermore, the source code has been released and an improved open source version, created in part by the original coder, is available for free from
