Eh, no regrets, but I didn't stumble upon the optimal route here.
I started at hype cave - catfish in the DW trying to get a little more equipment, so that paid off with a first sword and mitts. At that point the seed was wide open as you could do SW, TT, DP, PoD, ToH, and even IP, so it was up to what order you wanted to do those i, how many overworld checks you wanted to do along the way, and whether you wanted to step into pendant dungeons. I decided to be more thorough/conservative with my checks, going out of my way to not isolate graveyard ledge, doing all of smithy chain, clearing pendant TT, etc. I was putting off going up the mountain for a while hoping to find a hookshot (for SP and herapot) or ice rod (for TR) elsewhere, but that didn't pay off at all as hookshot and ice rod were both up on the right side of DM. If I had gone up the mountain earlier I would have stumbled on my go mode faster, but I don't really regret how things turned out.
