Arthur can help strangers, encounter crime, bounty hunters, escaped prisoners, gangs, and unique NPCs. To trigger more encounters, explore new areas, ride cross-country, and visit different times of day. Save before helping strangers, as some encounters are traps. Many encounters affect Honor and are tied to trophies/achievements. Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), an open-world action-adventure game developed by Rockstar Games, was released in 2018. Set in 1899, it follows Arthur Morgan, an outlaw in the Van der Linde gang, as the Wild West declines.
The game offers an expansive open world, deep storytelling, and immersive gameplay mechanics like hunting, horseback riding, and an honor system. It serves as a prequel to Red Dead Redemption (2010), exploring John Marston’s origins.
