Random Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Video Games: Game 9
1This is the ninth game that I reviewed from my collection of Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games that I will not be doing full runs of.
This is Golden Axe III (or 3), the sequel to Golden Axe II and the final game of the series before the series itself went for release in other systems.
Ax Battler and Tyris Flare no longer appear in this game; however, two newcomers named Kain Grinder (or Kain Blade) and Sahra Burn (or Sarah Vane) will be playable as they resemble Ax and Tyris respectively.
Two more newcomers are also added to this game, Broude Cragger (or Proud Kragg) and Chronos "Evil" Lait (or simply Cronus). Proud Kragg is a lion-like type of character who moves very slowly of the four while Cronus moves the fastest because he moves like a jaguar or a panther.
Gilius Thunderhead is retired, but asks the player to attempt to retrieve the Golden Axe from Damud Hellstrike (or Damned Hellstrike).
In this game, I play as Kain Blade and I do a short run through four stages in the game.
