Well, that didn't take long. T.I., the Grammy-winning rapper -- who was released from an Arkansas prison Wednesday after spending the last ten months in custody for a 2010 drug conviction -- was taken back into federal custody on Thursday, his attorney Steve Sadow said, after he showed up to an Atlanta halfway house in a souped-up luxury bus. T.I. was supposed to complete the remainder of his sentence -- which ends September 29 -- at the Atlanta halfway house, where he'd still be under supervision, but under much more relaxed conditions. Instead, for the foreseeable future, the rapper will be held in a Federal Penitentiary in Atlanta. Officials felt the rapper lied when he petitioned to use his own transportation in making the trip from Arkansas to Atlanta. According to reports, the Whatever You Like singer told authorities he'd be boarding a van, as opposed to the deluxe tour bus.

When a prisoner is incarcerated in a low or medium security prison ... prison officials can allow the inmate to use a private, unescorted mode of transportation to travel from the prison facility to the halfway house. During the process of approving such a transfer, the prisoner must state specifically what mode of transportation he or she will be using. T.I. informed prison officials he would be taking some sort of van, but made no mention of the high-end, pimped out tour bus. The popular hip-hop artist had begun filming a new VH-1 reality TV show as soon as he stepped out of prison and onto the tour bus. VH1 said Wednesday that the network will film, "T.I.'s Journey Home from Jail" and debut the show in December. Will you be watching the series? Leave a comment below and let us know.
