"From my father's vintage HO collection from the 1940's-70's. When tested recently the engine worked. Conditioning is recommended. Believed to be made by Tetsudo Mokei Sha (Train Model Company) (Ginza/Tokyo) in the late 1940's. These were one of the first brass Shay locomotives to be imported to the USA by International Model Products (IMP). IMP was the very first US brass locomotive importer (1949-1960). These Shay models by IMP are scarce these days, only coming up for sale on occasion."
