Rare Replay - Let's Play Blast Corps on Xbox One - N64 Retrogaming - Gameplay
8Blast Corps is a 1997 action video game for the Nintendo 64 that was recently rereleased as part of the retrogaming compilation Rare Replay on Xbox One. In this game, the player uses vehicles to destroy buildings to clear a path for a runaway nuclear missile carrier. Blast Corps was developed by Rare, originally published by Nintendo, and released in March 1997 in Japan and North America. A worldwide release followed at the end of that year. This is my first time playing this game, and I was surprised at how much I loved it. Its really one of the most underrated games on the N64.
Rare Replay is a retrogaming compilation of games from Rare Ltd (the creative and quirky games studio) that is an exclusive to the Xbox One. The games included span the entire history of Rare's catalogue from ZX Spectrum games, to Nintendo Entertainment System Games, to N64 games and all the way up to Xbox 360 games. This has been especially anticipated since it was unveiled at E3 2015 this past June.
I've been very excited for this game. I loved several of the NES games in the collection, so I'm looking forward to revisiting those. I never owned a ZX Spectrum or Nintendo 64, so its very exciting to be playing these games for the first time. Also, I missed most of Rare's additions to the Xbox 360, so I can't wait for those either. And Grabbed by the Ghoulies will make a welcome addition to my Horror Retrogaming series!
