A short guide on how to format an SD card to work with your Raspberry Pi. My board is a 3b, but (unless something changes in the future) it should work on all versions.

I'm also using a 64GB SD card. Pi boards (currently) require a FAT32 filesystem to boot the OS installer. You can't format cards over 32GB to FAT32, so this explains how to play with partitions and reset cards back to 'normal'.

There are programs you can download to do all of this for you. I'd recommend learning how to do it yourself though. Most people buy Pi boards to learn, so get to it. Once you have the commands down it's a very simple process. If you want to take the easy route, it'll be a virus picking minefield downloading of random websites, but I've used this without issue:
