Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a platform game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the sixteenth installment in the Ratchet & Clank series. The game takes place following the events of Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus (2013). It was released for the PlayStation 5 on June 11, 2021 and then for Microsoft Windows on July 26, 2023.
The game follows two main characters; Ratchet & Clank, and Rivet (a Lombax, who is said to be a dimensional counterpart of Ratchet). Dimensional chaos is ravaging the universe affecting all life as we know it. Ratchet, Clank, and Rivet must fight to stop the evil Emperor Nefarious and his army. The gameplay uses multiple weapons and gadgets for both characters, while solving puzzles along the way. Also the game features the return of planets explored in previous entries with a dimensional twist, through their alternate counterparts, alongside new planets not seen previously in the franchise.
