Another fantastic Elvis song that has a severe lack of covers on the internet, so here's me and my bedroom guitarist self to help fix that. This song is amazing, and I tried my best to do this song justice. The original song has a wide assortment of instruments. Unfortunately, I only have a couple of guitars and a drum sampler, so this’ll will be just a pure hard rock cover. I recreated the backing piano melody with the lead guitar, but it isn’t a note-for-note recreation. I had to utilize some creative liberties because admittedly, my ears aren’t honed well enough for me to hear all those backing notes clearly enough (plus some of it just gets drowned out by the other instruments, so I had no choice but to do some guess work). Unlike my Jailhouse Rock cover, there aren't any extra, original verses I added and all the lyrics are 99% the same as the original, except for the “let yourself go right now” in the outro and also one small additional lyric that any fans of the Speedway soundtrack may catch 😊.
