Maybe I've gotten better, but this was a shockingly easy chapter. With the exception of the very first archer, who sometimes won't flinch and can shoot you, my strategy leading all the way up to the key card area is basically 100% safe. Mike is on a ~1 minutes timer, starting from the moment you spawn the first wave of enemies, and he will take out the first gunner for you after that point. He's also on a timer during the 3 gunner section if you restart at the switch that opens the room, but I'm not sure what the trigger or the length of time is (probably 4:30 from the time you trigger the cutscene). If your health is in the red, you pretty much have to wait for the short burst of gunfire to run anywhere in that room, otherwise you're going to get hit. It is possible for the gunners to get "out of sync", and two of the gunners will do the long shooting animation while the other does the short one, then vice versa. I'm not sure what causes that, but that's pretty much game over if you're in danger state. It may be possible to make it up the other ladder and to take care of things on that side first, but I haven't explored that option.

The key card area is MUCH MUCH more random than the preceding areas, and I actually got some of the worst archer placement I've ever gotten in that area. I got very lucky at the end that I didn't get hit by the archer that fell down the ladder! I also slightly screwed up the very beginning of the room because my controller's left thumbstick is quite dirty and caused me to stutter step when running past the first archer. That made me freak out a bit and quick turn too early, almost getting me hit by the second archer. The beginning is pretty consistent, and the only thing that can occasionally go wrong is that the shield guy will run far enough forward to hit you as you run past him. If he does that you have to circle all the way around the raised platform with the archer on it, then head to the incendiary then the ladder. Probably the toughest section is right after you kill the key card guy (often he won't be killed by the explosion and you have to knife him a couple times), you don't want to run right to door because you want to axe soldier to jump down first. Sometimes you can get a really bad grouping of soldiers, and you can get cornered near the raised platform. I haven't yet figured out a consistent way to waste a bit of time before the axe soldier jumps down, but what I do usually works. Also, sometimes the archer at the top of the ladder will be aiming at you and will fire before you gain control of Leon (sometimes he's not even there at all). Not sure what causes that, though.

-Pro mode
-Every chapter, you begin with a completely empty inventory (no weapons, treasures, items, or pesetas)
-All merchants in a given chapter become unusable in the next chapter
-No random items/pesetas may be used (accidentally picking up is okay, as long as they are just sold or used)
-Leon and Ashley must stay at 1 HP for the entire run
-No deaths
-Tactical restarts only (i.e. to clear out enemies, not because you screwed up)
-End of chapter saves only
