I'm only at the beginning of the game still but wow this was a challenge. Did not take me as long as I thought it would but this is definitely tricky.
Here are some tips:
1. Line up Mario with the shadow of the enemy. I really only looked at the shadow.
2. Get a rhythm going. Count from 1-10 for every cycle you hit the enemy so example starting at 25 you would go 5, 6, 7... until you reach 10 at 30 and then repeat
3. Feel free to take a break. As cliche as it sounds this helped me a lot.
