The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a FLASH FLOOD WARNING for
Moore OR Warren County,
Until 11:00 pm
At 8:04 PM, Doppler Radar Indicated Thunderstorms Producing Heavy Rain Across the Warned Area.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly, especially at Carthage where earlier storms produced over two inches of rain.
HAZARD... Life Threatening Flash flooding. heavy Rain producing Flash flooding.
SOURCE... Radar Indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and other Passes.
Some locations that Will Experience Flooding Include... Southern Pines, Carthage, Pinehurst, Whispering Pines, Robbins, Foxfire, Taylortown, Vass, Cameron and highfalls.
Turn around, don’t when Encountering flooded roads, most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
