Read Description (Serious Info about Hurricane Irma)
209Some of you may be wondering why I haven't uploaded in a week. There are a few reasons. Please read the whole thing BEFORE commenting.
For one, I have recently gotten pretty bored with editing videos on YouTube. I was thinking about taking a small break and focusing on the game, instead of youtube because I am into the game more than ever.
Also recently I've seen a lot of smaller channels and such doing really annoying low quality top 5 or 10 videos that don't have much effort and are only there for the money. I have been getting lots of accusations that I have only done youtube "for the money" which makes absolutely no sense because I don't make a penny off of a single one of my videos. I do it for the fun. (Don't worry not quitting youtube).
The next concern is Hurricane Irma. Some of you may have already seen my brother's video about this but I'd like to clarify. I live in southwest Florida, and as you might know Irma is headed for our state. It's a monster storm, so I'm kind of worried. They aren't completely sure where it's headed but models are leaning towards the side of the east coast at the moment (this might change). Even if it takes this path, we will still be heavily affected. Our house isn't very hurricane-proof and we live less than a mile from the beach, only a few feet above sea level. If there is a large storm surge or even just lots of rain then our house could go underwater... my mom decided not to evacuate, since it's not mandatory yet, but all of my friends are going up north so I'm feeling alone.
Irma could still take a late turn north and head up the middle of the state, which would still be very very bad because our house still might flood then, considering the streets are often completely flooded with only a casual heavy thunderstorm. If this happens then my computer could die which means most likely I won't be playing GD anytime soon.
The power will likely go out no matter where the hurricane goes sometime on Saturdayish, so if/when that happens I will not be able to talk on discord or upload videos obviously. I won't even be able to play GD on my phone since we need to conserve the battery. Have no idea how long it could be out, maybe only a day or two, but up to a month if it's pretty bad. This is mainly why I made this video.
If it turns out we won't be affected very much, then I will delete this video. If we are, I'll probably post an update on what happened afterwards, considering I am a really big weather nerd and love learning about that stuff.
