Topaz archon shards can give you a potential option to gain up to 50% flat added final crit chance to secondary weapons, including Mesa's Regulators after getting kills by secondaries that have heat damage.

While the shard currently isn't stacking, nor has any benefit to using the tau version, and the stacking being extremely inconsistent requiring 400 kills to get to 50 stacks, its potentially powerful.
