Realistic graffiti art | portrait painting. (Ayrton Senna)
29For this video I paint my first ever graffiti portrait. I have now painted 6 cars in the photoreal style and a couple of landscapes, one thing that I have always wanted to try though is portrait painting. As this is my first attempt I knew I was going to make mistakes and the painting wouldn't be perfect, but I wanted to share the first one so I could document my progress as I improve. Even though there are mistakes this came out way better than i had imagined.
I chose to paint Ayrton Senna for my first portrait although it was a hard choice between him Colin Mcrae, both who I feel were legendary drivers and did great things on and off the track. I'm sure i will paint Colins portrait soon so stay tuned for that one.
To give you an idea of the scale the trailer is 16ft by 8ft. The paint used was MTN 94 with a mixture of NY fat caps, clear universals and pro skinnys
