"Asylum" by Senscape is an indie first-person point-and-click mystery game with suspense and psychological/supernatural horror vibes. You are an ex-patient of the Hanwell Mental Institute. It's been years since your internment and you're suffering from hallucinations, so you return to the abandoned site to seek answers. Upon entry, however, you find the institute is in the early stages of renovation. By the good graces of the night staff, your task is to explore the large complex, find out what might be happening to you, and unwittingly bust a deeper conspiracy wide open...
"Asylum" is an excellently crafted indie game of the point-and-click genre, influenced by the Hammer Films horror movie era. The voice acting is decent with a lot of investigation-based dialogue. The atmosphere is spot-on for a once-decrepit mental institution, with only a few minor jumpscares. This is what I wish most point-and-click asylum horror mysteries of the flash era were like.
"Asylum" was released on Steam on the 14th of March. I highly recommend checking it out!
