Zeus punished Prometheus for the transgression by subjecting him to eternal torment and tying him to a rock where an eagle was sent daily to eat his liver after it grew back the night before. Franklins fate is uncannily similar to Prometheuss his descent into alcoholism and agoraphobia sends him into a never ending cycle of liver abuse and self imprisonment. As the years pass. he always falls continues to fall from grace Its a brutal way to end a show so loved by black viewers Final Prognosis • This ending was bleak when I thought about what this show means to black viewers Franklin Saint gets stuck in peoples minds who will always be remembered by Black TV fans as an enigmatic protagonist. one that most viewers will unabashedly stand for. objectivity be damned.
