Recompile aims to be the first ever Metroidvania-style game to include multiple, highly dynamic critical paths. Your play style and choices matter, weaving together a narrative unique to you as the true nature of the mysterious virtual world is revealed.
A note from the developers: "The demo we just released is NOT representative of the final game. Neither visually as the game has been ported to HDRP and now looks so much better, but also mechanically: for example, the rate to which to you get power ups is altered for the fun factor. The final game is much more than a sandbox: it’s a metroidvania-inspired game with a narrative, branching paths, NPCs, different endings, environments, enemy types, lots more skills to unlock etc."
