After much trial and error, I finally got Nvidia Shadowplay to record lossless scaling along with Train Sim World 4. I'll say it ran smoother than in previous videos without it. And I'm still trying to experiment with other settings too seeing that Shadowplay playback can be choppy.
I prefer Nvidia shadowply because the quality is a lot better than with OBS Studio. Not bashing OBS because it's a good program and it's playback tends to be smoother.
