Apologies for the audio balance problems in some of the test footage, but it was the best I could do without adding extra strain to my disk, which would skew the results slightly.

This is a little test video of various different pieces of recording software that I use/have used in the past. The pieces of software being tested out with Bioshock Infinite are: FRAPS, Dxtory, and Mirillis Action!.

All of the clips used in this video are exactly 3 minutes long, and recorded at 1920x1080 at 30fps. I compiled a "table" of the file sizes produced by each program.

Program Colour space Size
Dxtory RGB 14.9GB
Dxtory YUV420(MQ) 10.2GB
Action Unknown 2.95GB
FRAPS RGB 13.3GB
FRAPS Unknown 7.49GB

As you can see from that, Action! produces TINY files in comparison to the rest, and this is how it manages to be the best-performing out of the lot, since disk bandwidth is the limiting factor in my, and most cases of recording high quality video.
