Don't rush to claim your ships. Players are mostly aware that the 30k recovery is present at the Live servers in Star Citizen, but some players are unaware that the same mechanics can restore ship not just after a server crash, but after a client crash and after a ship being lost in space in general. 30k recovery should be instant in most cases, but sometimes it can take hours or even days. Recovery after client crashes can take up to 24 hours.

Rule of thumb: if the ship is not available to fly after 10 minutes, check back in 6-24 hours. Ship should be retrieved in the same state with all the cargo on board. Works in 9 times out of 10.
