Just like Red Colony 2, you play as an antagonist from the game before, this time you're Mina. Leon's robo girlfriend. In the last game Nicole had a lot of differences with her RC1 self. So does Mina, firstly Mina is taller than Leon but in this game she isn't. Mina had bright red glowing eyes, in this game it's blue. Mina was only wearing like from what I can only guess is a bullet proof bra. She's a lot more serious in RC2 and even has a darker voice. Mina mentions she cannot lie in RC2 but Leon suspects her of lying to him about getting his body as her top priority.
Looks like the cannon ending would be the shot hit ending. Seeming how Leon doesn't mention anything like walking around on planet X or anything. And how he said Mina copied his mind. Leon is very loyal and strong willed in RC2 but in this game he's really cutthroat and manipulative.
I like how Dr. J showed up again, however I think his plot twists are really terrible. Like I think he shouldn't kill Leon, but instead Leon shoots him and realizes that without his body he is enterally lonely on a dead planet. The other ending is okay I guess. Like Leon is the Main Antagonist in the best game in the series, he deserves a lot better. Leon killed over 2 Colonies and possibly one more in earth, he's an absolute psychopath who killed his own sister just to mess with his mother. He seems so small in this game, which is disappointing.
Granted I don't know how it works but how does Dr. J changed bodies so fast? I feel like Dr. J shouldn't of changed bodies anyway, he could of instead stolen his body and brought it to the queen's chamber. Or if anything, allow Leon to get his body back just to hit him with the same ultimatum. Kill me and Mina dies, leave (or kill yourself) and she lives happily. It would be cool to play as Leon briefly.
Enough lore. This game is really glitchy. But however, it is the most fun Red Colony to play, as it's the hardest. Turned Zombies are a personal favorite being a very difficult ammo wasting encounter. Unlike last games, it makes me want to avoid fighting them at all cost. The lowered health is very welcome too, every encounter is much more dangerous than in previous games. Also the no building ammo/guns is awesome too, every gun you get is memorable as it's a spot, not just a bunch of chips.
Now let's get to the character change, I love it. Not only do you play as a previous antagonist you also play as her antagonist. Which is definitely the coolest thing in the series so far. It's cool too how you can either root for or against Juli too. And when you play as Juli she's such a different talker too, being a lot colder and psychotic as well. Even saying how she'd murder someone for their clothes. In pictures around the game it shows Juli with glasses, and honestly I don't know why they got rid of them, she looked a lot better with them on and I think she'd be the first person with them too in RC.
And lastly the Queen, I'm sorry. She had so much build up to be dead day one. Rip
