Unfortunately you will have to repeat this step EACH time you play the game, until Rockstar fixes it. You can complain all you want in the comment section, that it's not a fix, it's a band-aid, it's a workaround, etc. MANY people had NO idea how to do this workaround. If you already knew how to do this on your own, then good for you.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has a weird low volume thing, since December it seems. Go to your taskbar, bottom right, right click on sound icon, go to volume mixer, and raise the notch for RDR2. That's it, you're welcome. #RedDeadRedemption2 #HowTo
