3Previously: "In 1911, the family of former outlaw John Marston is kidnapped by BOI agents, E. Ross & A. Fordham, who force him to hunt down his former gang members in exchange for his family's return. John first goes after former ally Bill Williamson, who now leads his own bunch that terrorizes the residents of New Austin. He arrives at Williamson's stronghold at Fort Mercer (an abandoned Mexican-American wartime fortress), but fails to persuade him to surrender, resulting in John being shot & left for dead. Rescued by local rancher Bonnie MacFarlane, he helps her with several jobs around her farm, while formulating a plan to attack Williamson's crowd. Marston makes a number of allies to help him carry out the attack, including U.S. Marshal L. Johnson, snake oil man West Dickens & so-called hmm treasure hunter Seth Briars."
(Part 5) - The Blackwater Ledger: "Kidnapped woman found alive. A rancher´s daughter, Bonnie McFarlane, kidnapped from her home in Hennigan´s Stead, New Austin, narrowly escaped death by hanging after a bloody shootout between Armadillo lawmen and Bill Williamson´s gang at Tumbleweed. The motive for the kidnapping is still unclear. Initial reports seemed to indicate that it was a crime of passion, but Miss MacFarlane is a spinster of 29 years, well past marriageable or childbearing age, so this appears implausible. The indicent seems to be linked to the recent capture of Norman Deek rumored to be Bill Williamson´s second-in command. Several men lost their lives in the skirmish but Bill Williamson´s body was not recovered, and it is thought that the notorious outlaw is still at large."
In this episode an drunk arms smuggler known as "Irish" join with us. Ultimately, John & his allies stormed at last Fort Mercer & kill all of Williamson's men, but learn that Williamson has fled to México to seek help from Javier Escuella, another former member of John's gang.
