41My own Redfall review was harsh along with virtually every outlet that played it. The Redfall Bloomberg article by Jason Schreier arrived right on time, as previously predicted, the truth comes out. Anyone with eyes could tell that Redfall gameplay was bad before it came out, and the attempts to defend the game now look even more pathetic.
But the question is, who is to blame? As an Xbox exclusive it was added to the long list of Xbox Game Pass games that were supposed to bring value to 2023 for Microsoft. However, both Arkane and Zenimax carry most of the blame as the devs wanted the game to be cancelled, and Zenimax had no idea what it takes to build a multiplayer live service game.
Redfall is a first-person shooter video game developed by Arkane Austin and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game was released for Windows and Xbox Series X/S on May 2, 2023. The game received mixed reviews from critics, with criticism for its gameplay design, story, and technical problems.
