My YouTube Channel just like many other YouTubers was recently attacked by a Hacker / Cyber Criminal. However, unlike other YouTubers, then I was lucky as they did fail to take control of my YouTube Channel. From my own research then I have now learnt that they are using a software called Redline Stealer which can be purchased on the dark web.

How it works is that the Hackers / Cybercriminals use Social Engineering to trick you into installing Redline Stealer on your computer. Once RS is installed on your computer Redline Stealer will then do the following

+ Collect and steal information saved to your browsers
+ Collect and steal all Login User Names and Passwords saved to your browsers.
+ Collect and steal any Cookies installed on your browsers
+ Collect and Steal any Autofill information saved from your browsers
+ Collect and Steal any Credit Card information etc...
+ Collect and Steal any Cryptocurrency Wallet information etc...

Redline Stealer will also Collect System information about your computer such as

+ Your IP Address and your OS information
+ Your hardware information such as the processor type of your computer, memory size, hardrive size etc...
+ What browsers are currently installed on your computer
+ What anti-maleware programs that you may have installed on your computer

Additionally Redline Stealer will also give the Hacker - Cyber Criminal remote access to your computer via it's " Command and Control " feature.

This will see RS allow the Hacker - Cyber Criminal to log in to your Gmail account from your own browser on your own computer. ( This allows the Hacker - Cybercriminal to bypass your two factor Authentication ). As again they are signing into your google account from your very own trusted browser and computer via remote access.

Cyber Crime is very real people, please take the following steps to safeguard your self from it.

Please take the following actions

1. Learn about Social Engineering & definitely Redline Stealer
2. Install Premium Anti Virus Software
3. Change your Passwords to being very STRONG passwords

We will talk about Redline Stealer more in the next video, that I do make about it. We will also talk about what it is that you can do if you are successfully hacked by it and a Hacker - Cyber Criminal.
