He is a special breed of actor. Guy Pearce has impressed Hollywood, but Hollywood does not impress him. To him, LA is just the office - he would much rather be home in Melbourne. The kid who wagged school to audition for Neighbours has gone from soap star to superstar, from working with Kylie to being directed by Steven Spielberg. His latest film, Memento, has opened to stunning reviews in America, and with four other feature films on the go, this could be Guy Pearce's biggest year. But do not expect that to change him. As Tara Brown discovered, the best thing about Guy is that he is just a regular guy.
