Remembering Lily
2As part of a series I'd like to do to pay respect to my beloved cat Lily, this is one of the last videos, or possibly the last video, I ever took of her when she was with me. Taken earlier this year, I was getting my office area setup and moved my two seat couch upstairs, and while I was laundering the couch covers, I had some blankets laid out, which she immediately made her new bed, as evidenced by her curled up in this video and then being rudely awoken by me.
Lily did have cancer, and instead of putting her through another painful surgery, I made the most difficult decision of putting her down on March 31st of this year. I was and still am devastated and I'm working on healing myself to hopefully be able to have more cats later on in life, but right now, I'm going to wipe the tears away, and rewatch this video a few more times.
Please do me a favor, and more importantly, do yourself one, and give your pet an extra treat, and extra cuddle, or just spend a little extra time with them. You truly don't know how precious each moment with them is until they are no longer with you.
