This is my review of the movie, Reminiscence, a neo-noir science fiction thriller starring Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson. Helmed by first-time director, Lisa Joy, the film follows Nick, a private investigator of the mind whose services help to bring some measure of comfort to the people of this particular post-apocalyptic future. But when the love of his life goes missing one day, he is willing to do anything to find her, including losing himself in the memories of her mysterious past. In this review, I share my thoughts about the movie and why I ultimately found it underwhelming.
